Mission Statement

Mission Statement: As parents, grandparents and responsible citizens, we recognize that our kids are our greatest resource and legacy, and that there are overwhelming obstacles which negatively impact their families, their lives and their future.

We cannot possibly resolve all the obstacles by ourselves. We also recognize that many existing community programs and efforts also have limited resources and capabilities, and by the interacting with, and supporting, existing community programs and efforts, the whole will be greater than the sum of the parts. The Board of Trustees of the We Love Our Kids Program has elected to implement and operate the Program in support of the overall community efforts to improve the quality of life of its kids and their families, as an integral, yet independent team member. The Board of Trustees has chosen to focus primarily on, and to direct our efforts and resources towards providing access to basic needs building and improving the self-esteem and character of our kids by identifying, addressing resolving or reducing the situations and conflicts which influence them to do harm to themselves or others.

The We Love Our Kids Program shall direct efforts towards strengthening the coalition of local schools, municipal departments, organizations, clubs, programs and concerned residents which has been formed for the purpose of improving the quality of life for kids and their families. The We Love Our Kids Program shall provide Scholarships and Toolships to the youth of Greater Harwich, subject to availability of resources and the Guidelines and Parameters of the Program. The Board of Trustees of the We Love Our Kids Program shall periodically review the changing needs of the youth of 'Greater Harwich' and shall be empowered to modify the focus and direction of the Program to reflect issues of great concern to the youth.

Every member of the Harwich Cranberry Festival committee is unpaid and has volunteered their time all year to set this show up and coordinate all that goes into running such a huge event. This is all to benefit the town's children as well as to bring fun to the people who attend. It's a tremendous amount of work for the volunteers and they have come through for 30 years!

The Harwich Cranberry Festival wants to thank the people who support this festival every year.
